In order to increase the number of MasterCard Management Scholarship applicants from women, the Boulder Institute has requested that WAM International circulate the announcement below. Therefore we are sending this message out as an Addendum to the Spring Newsletter!

We encourage any interested female MFI Managers that fit the qualifications (see below) to apply ASAP!!

The MasterCard Foundation will be awarding partial tuition scholarships to Microfinance Managers to attend the 2010 Boulder MFT program in Turin, Italy from July 19th to August 6th, 2010. These scholarships are for Microfinance Managers with a special emphasis on women microfinance managers.

Applicants need to submit their application, CV, and a letter of recommendation by Wednesday, May 5th (Note the official deadline is April 30th, but the organization has granted a few extra days to submit all the required information).

APPLICATION CRITERIA: 1. You currently work for a microfinance institution. 2. You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in microfinance and a minimum of 1 year of experience with your current microfinance employer. 3. You have some level of management responsibility for other people within your microfinance institution. 4. You have sufficient English language skills to participate in the program. 5. You are agreeable to communicating with Boulder Institute and with MasterCard Foundation about your learning from this training supported by the MasterCard Scholars’ Grant Program.
