In our first ADA Discussion Paper “Does foreign ownership in microfinance interfere with local development?” we attempt to identify a trend towards greater foreign ownership in microfinance in the hope of provoking a debate on the impact of such a trend on the microfinance sector and on MFIs more specifically. For this purpose, an email debate, mediated by Sophie Wiesner, Project Officer at ADA, will take place on the following dates:
